Defining Open Standards Programming for AI and HPC

DATE June 11, 2025 TIME 2:15 PM to 3:15 PM (Europe/Berlin)

Join us for an engaging Birds of a Feather (BoF) session at ISC, hosted by Rod Burns, Chair of the UXL Foundation Steering Committee, alongside Hartwig Anzt of the Ginkgo linear algebra project and Biagio Cosenza from the University of Salerno, this session will explore the pressing challenges of developing software across diverse architectures. Are open standards still within reach, or are developers already too entrenched in their ecosystems? Can polymorphic compilers and community-driven initiatives pave the way to true platform portability? Come join the conversation and help shape the future of AI and HPC development.
